Lots To Do

Hi!

I just came back from my literature class at my one-of-two co-ops. I had a whole month to read Tom Sawyer and I still hadn't finished it. I have 5 chapters left. Oh well, I got through the class and now I have to read about 6 poems and write one of my own. Whew! Then on top of that I have to get ready for co-op tomorrow.

We also had a coupon shopping trip at Publix. It turned out all right. We went and got 8 one pound bags of candy. They were buy one get one free and we had coupons.

I am going to be a donut for Halloween. I found the idea on the internet, and listed it on my favorite costumes and then crossed out the ones that I thought weren't the best. So it finally came down to a laundry basket and a donut. Even though my family thought the laundry basket was better, I wanted to be the donut. I am going to spray paint an inner tube and stick "sprinkles" on it.

Well, have to go. Bye!

Going Past The EDGE

Hi Everyone!

Today we went to church. I am so glad that we have found a church that we like. The last post I put had some information about it and I think I mentioned my friend goes to my church. Well, there is this middle school program called EDGE. I am going to go today. I sounds great and I can't wait. It is like CCD for older kids. But, my friend is in it too. Double Great!

That's all I have to say. I am going to post about it after I go to EDGE too. So stick around!

Lots and Lots of Exciting News

I am so sorry about not writing! I have been very busy over the last few weeks (and months!).
But, there is a lot to tell about.
1. We bought a new house
2. I redecorated my room
3. I am taking a Fine Arts co-op
4. We found a new church
Let me start with one. We were tired of looking at houses and mom and dad were just going to put an offer on this one house, when our wonderful realtor showed us one that just went on the market that day. So, we went to this house and saw how wonderful it was and decided that this was the house we wanted and if we didn't get it, we would have the other house as a backup. Well, many people saw it that day too. So there was already some offers on it. But, my smart daddy said that we should just put in full price, otherwise we were not going to get it. So, they put in the offer and now we are living in our wonderful house! Let me tell you about it. It is a two story with a basement. On the 2nd floor are 3 bedrooms and a bonus. One of the bedrooms is the master. Than on the first floor there is a big kitchen, a dining room, and the living room and laundry room. In the basement there is lots of space and it even has it's own bathroom. Then there is another garage, besides the one that is attached to the house, and a pool. And it on a 1 acre lot. It is perfect, just we wanted another acre. But, what would we do with another acre? Mow. And mow. And more mowing.
Two, I redecorated my room. Me and my friends back where is used to live played a shopping spree before I left. We were all redoing our rooms. So we had the most funnest time in the world going through stores and walking around. I think we spent more money on our clothes than we did on our rooms, but it was still fun.
But, I did redecorate my room. I painted it light green and I am going to put light blue polka dots on the wall. And we had a garage sale with our friends from church and we traded stuff with them and I ended up getting some new decorations for my room. I also had some neon flowers that I had bought at Hobby Lobby that were on sale for 50% off and put them up and then put two butterflies around the flowers to make it look like the butterflies were flying around the flowers. And I am going to put the word "Dream" under them in brown.
Kaylee redid her room too and it is pink. She wanted a room theme and chose Paris for it. So she has an Ifle Tower and lots of poodle pictures.
I am also taking a Fine Arts co-op that is extremely fun. Here is my schedule:
9am - 10am: Voilin
10am - 11am: Break Time
11am- 12pm: Folk Dancing Class
12pm - 12:30pm: Lunch
12:30 - 1:30: Art Class
1:30 - 2pm: Break
2pm - 3:30pm: Choir
And next year I am going to add (if I can) Ballroom Dancing, Tumbling, Photography and Ballet into my schedule. I also take a once a month co-op that teaches liturchure. It is a great class that will hopefully help me on my career as a Writer.
We found a new church. We now go to St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. I am going to be in a class called Edge. It is for middle schoolers. I can't wait to go. And what is so funny is that my new friend from co-op goes to the same church! And she does Edge! How cool is that!
Well, I hope this makes up for me not writing. I am going to start writing again.

4th of July Fun!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We are so lucky to live in a country like this. I spent the 4th of July at my Nanny and G-Dad's house with my cousins. We went tubing and swimming in the lake and pool and also saw some fireworks. We come here every 4th of July, but this year was a little different. We always go to two firework displays, one on the 3rd and the other on the 4th. So the one on the 3rd we see on the boat and we saw that one. But, the other display we see at a place called Great Waters. We have a picnic and play games and sit there for 4 hours playing games. This year though it rained. So we ended up not going to Great Waters and staying home and watching fireworks on the TV. We watched the Washington D.C. ones and the Macy's fireworks in New York. I thought that Macy's was better, just not as big. Bigger, to me, is not better. I was really sad and mad that we did not see Great Water's fireworks. It stopped raining, just the adults didn't want to drive and park and lug everything down, then drag it back up. Oh well, It was fun, I guess.

Wow! Way to Much Stuff!

We are going to have a garage sale on Saturday. And I can't believe how much stuff we have collected to sell! Our whole dining room is full of things! We have books, toys, clothes, furniture, and one dog. I am kidding about the dog, but, it has come to mind... :). We are going to have a multi-family yard sale, and I hope all the stuff goes. It is going to be pretty big. Our next door neighbor is going to have a yard sale too and our friends from church are going to come and sell their stuff. I want to sell lemonade.

Daddy is at Nanny's and G-dad's house because his new work is near there. He has been staying there since Monday. He is coming back tonight though.

Well, hope you are having a good week. Hope that all the stuff will be gone at the end of Saturday.

SafeSitter Class

Yesterday I went to a SafeSitter class. It was interesting and a lot of fun. I learned about:

> How to do the Heimlete ( Is that how you spell it?) choking thing on a baby and child
> How to do CPR on a baby and child
> Learned about first aid and who to call for various things (Ex. Cuts, Scrapes, Broken Bones, etc.)
> What to do if a fire started, tornado, a bad storm, burglar, etc.
> How to run a babysitting business
> How to change and feed a baby
> And MORE

It was a very helpful class. It started at 8am and ended at 4am. I ate lunch there and it was at a hospital. I can't wait to start babysitting now. There are other courses you can take through American Red Cross. At the end of the class I got a bag with bandages and a handbook, first aid kit, a flash light, and more band aids. This was such a great class. And it only cost $50.

I also have a surprise! I am getting glasses. I can't wait till they come. There brand name is Hillary Duff Stuff. They are plastic and I like that. We are at Nanny's and G-dad's right now and then the day after we get back we are going to Florida. I hope they come before we go to Florida.

American Idol

This is the finale night for American Idol. Who do you like? I am going for Lauren. She is a Georgia Peach and has a really pretty voice. Hope she wins. But, I do like Scotty and I think he has an awesome voice also. If I we're to run it, both of them would win. But, I am not the boss of it. What a fun show, can't wait to see who is singing tonight.

LET'S GO LAUREN, LET'S GO!

The LORD Is My Sheperd

Last Sunday our Deacon delivered a wonderful Homily. And I love all our deacons, because they make the sermons funny and meaningful, not just boring old Homily. He talked about how we are the sheep and the LORD is our Shepherd. And he talked about how the Shepherds in those days would lead all the sheep into a fold for the night, to be safe. Our Gospel talked about how Jesus is the fold. He protects us against robbers that might steel our souls and from wandering away from Him. He also told us about sheep. He said sheep were stupid. That they all follow one another. He said that he read a story that 600 sheep were grazing and one fell over a cliff. So the others followed. 200 died but the rest were okay because they fell on top of the 200. It is true, we are kind of stupid, in a way. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mean to insult anybody, but, we follow everything. We follow the trends, hair styles, makeup. We want to do what our friends are doing. We follow the wrong people. I read a book and it said that you have to control yourself or you will end up hurting yourself. Like, just because your friends are smoking, you shouldn't. If you think it is cool, then think again. It is not. I went to a Science field trip and the lung of a smoker is green and gross. Yuck.

Another example is our clothing. Yes, our clothing. We have to think about what is modest. Not the V-line dresses and the short shorts. We want to be the best, to look good.

So, next time you go shopping, think about what is pleasing to God, not the world. Think, " It is not about me, it is about Him!"

Psalm 23: 1-4

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

House Hunting Finally Ending!

We have found a house that we love, FINALLY! After many talks and arguments, we saw a house that we like. I love it. It has 6 acres, it is an older home with a basement and 3 bedrooms. Big place. It has a long driveway and trees lining. The bedroom that is going to be mine already has horse wallpaper. I am so happy that we chose this home. It feels like us. It is a fixer-upper. When we move I am going to put an English garden in.

Well, did you see mom's post about it? If you didn't, look at it. This was before we decided.

C-Sunshine's Creations Post

I have had this store for over a year, now. And I realize that I am not trying to make the cards, I just want the money. So, I am now going to put all my effort into it and be a good girl about my business. But, I think I will make this a summer job. I will take orders one at a time, though, in the school year. If any body has any good tips on how to run a business, please, let me know.

End of the Week Post

Mom wants me to start an End of the Week post. So here it is.

Sunday: Went to church. This was the last time for Kaylee to get a blessing in Communion.
Monday: School. Such a dull word.
Tuesday: Last day of co-op. :( I am sad. Now I have to do school on Tuesdays.
Wednesday: Last day of CCD. It must be the end of the year. Everything is ending. We had an Ice Cream party. I didn't get to have any. I am allergic to milk.
Thursday: Went to lovely Art class. Notice the lovely. I love art class. I have the greatest and sweetest teacher in art. I have a connection with art. Every time I do it, a flutter jumps inside me. This is the one thing I will miss the most when we move.
Friday: Nanny and G-Dad came. School. (Another dull word)
Saturday: K- Doodle had her First Holy Communion! She was so pretty. She wore a dress that was passed down from Jessie, to me, then to her. Tomorrow she will have a chance to have it again and then the next week... etc. I am so happy for her. We went out to eat with Nanny and G-Dad, then they left. I am now baking a white cake. (Oh, and I tried the wine for the first time, I didn't have it when I took Communion, and it was NASTY. Just nasty. N-A-S-T-Y. Nasty.)

Excitement and Disaster

I have good news for me and bad news for me. And I don't want to tell them to me. So, I will tell them to you.

Excitement: I got to see my long lost friend! She is officially my best friend. Went to lunch with her after we saw a great play: Frog and Toad. Awesome!

Disaster: That night a very, VERY terrible storm came though Alabama and Georgia. Nobody in my family was hurt, but a homeschool family named the Green's brother died. Please, pray for them.

Also, my older sister had to have surgery. She had to have something removed. She was really scared. Please pray for her, too.

Last, we had a garage sale today. We tagged along on some other family's garage sale in our neighborhood. It was me and K-Doodle running it by ourselves. It went horrible. We made fifteen dollars though. That will go towards my room or I-Touch! But, still got A LOT of stuff.

So, news of the week is done!

Something or Someone Week 4: Mom

Mom is the best mom in the whole world. She is a homeshcool mom. Likes to coupon shop. Stays up till midnight watching Law and Order (or used to). Is kind and caring, loving, sweet... and any other word you can think of that is nice. Has four girls. Doesn't spend as much time as me on her blog. Is sad that we have to move. Thinks I am funny. Likes to goof around. Cooks. Bakes. Likes organic food. Loves sales on things she likes to buy. Puts up with us when we can be a little feisty. Loves Daddy. Can get frustrated on things a lot. She is a little clean freak. I never want to leave her. Likes candy. Is my comfort when I am blue (like being sick, sad, mad, too happy, etc...)

Last of all, I LOVE HER TO THE FARTHEST STAR AND BACK!

Something or Someone Week 3: Friends

This is really late, I know.

Friends are wonderful. They make you laugh, they make you cry. Then they help you dry your eyes. Without them the world would be nothing. Without the one friend you have, you would be a mess. When you are embarrassed, they pick you up. Some of them are have things in common. Others don't. But, either way you know you have someone there for you all the way.

I have some really bad and good news. I am moving. I am going to move to Macon Georgia. That is 2 hours from here. And, I really, really, REALLY don't want to leave my friends behind. I have friends that are very close to me. I also wanted to do the drama club here, but now I can't.

Another announcement! My Nanny just had birthday on Friday! Happy Birthday Nanny!

Altar Server: Done!

It is Sunday. Yesterday I did my Altar Server job. I did OK. My partner is an elderly lady. She is so nice. I don't know all of the signals yet, so I don't know when or where to do stuff. She helped me and told me about the things. I am so thankful for her. We came a little bit too early. You are supposed to come 15 minutes early. We came 30 minutes early. So, nobody was in the back changing. Mom sat down and then after about 10 minutes, somebody came. I went to the back and changed into the gown. Then me and my partner talked a little and figured out who would do what. I was the one with the cross. I didn't fall over. But, I walked a little too fast. Next, I will walk a little bit slower. And, there was Holy Water. I didn't know that. And, she told me to help her and I got the heavy bowl and pourer. I clanged them together and made a racket. But, everything else was fine. And, I changed and we went out to eat with our friends from church at a Mexican restaurant. And today Amber left :-(. I am sad. I didn't want her to go. But, hopefully, she will move down here.

Today Is the Day!

A lot of things have been happening. Amber, my big sister, is here and it is her last day. My dad, her, K-doodle and Amber's friend Alexa are at the Coca-Cola museum trying out all the 95 flavors of Coke. And where am I? Well, right in the kitchen. Mom didn't go because she hurt her leg. I am feeling a little bit left out. There going to come back with lots to tell about. Mom said that she will take me to the Ice Cream shop. I am going to get some Sorbet. That is pronounced SORE-BAY. It is like frozen lemonade. It is really good. And I can have it (I am allergenic to milk). Well, I not saying not one-on-one time with my mom isn't going to be fun, (I have been wanting to have some time with her for a longtime) it's just, I wanted to go too. But, I can't. I could have gone, if it weren't for I have to be Altar Server at our church tonight. Maybe God is telling me that He matters, not fun. Maybe He is telling me that over all, He is the one I need to go too. He made this world for us to follow and worship Him.

Well, this is my first Altar Server duty and I am kind-of nervous. It's a good thing it is Lent. The bells and the Holy Water are not being used, so I don't have to worry about that. But, I don't know which server I should be. The one that holds the cross (which is really heavy!) and walks in front and does nothing more, or the one that holds the Prayer book and gets the tray and walks in the back? I am thinking of doing the second one. I just don't want to fall over :-).

Something or Someone Week 2: Dad

This week is dad!

Dad always works. Is a Grand Knight at Church. Likes to build stuff. Is funny. Has a big heart. Gives blood. Likes to play Spades on the computer. Likes Dove chocolate. I am almost as tall as him. Works for Georgia Power. Is nice. Very giving. Lets us (kids) do stuff mom would be nervous to let us do. Likes to listen to music when he is working outside. Is very careful (sometimes). Likes days off. Gets frustrated when he is confused. Sings off key. Is Italian. Is a little boy sometimes. Loves us and I love him back, a whole lot!

AHG Camping Trip

I have already written a paper for something else, so I am going to use this one. This paper I wrote for the newsletter.

American Heritage Girls of troop GA2212 had a great camping experience. It all started on April 4th and ended on the 6th. They camped at camp Thunder in little four bunk tents. Everyone arrived, unpacked and then ran to the playground. After playing on the playground for hours, it was dinner time. Filling their bellies with hotdogs, they ate. Then came S’mores! Yummy, yummy!

After that, they played games until 12pm. Some of them sang… spiders; snakes and clowns are all after Gracie! Thanks for the song Katie!

They all went to bed after that. And then came the exciting part! A thunder storm rolled in! Tents flapped and the wind blew hard. Everyone was a little scared. They all made it through the night though and woke up to pancakes.

After breakfast they went to the playground until lunch. Then some of them went hiking, for 5 miles! Up, up and away to the top of the mountains! They weren’t really mountains, just really big hills. A quarter of the way everyone got tired, but, they made it to the top. At the top the saw a water fall! You could see it go down. It was called Moss Falls. The reason why it was called that was because it was covered in moss. They stayed there for a little while and climbed all over the rocks, and then they walked the 2.5 miles back. Brave people!

Then more playing on the playground and then came a dinner of soup. Yum again!

Some people left and some people stayed for the next day.

Something or Someone Week 1: K-Doodle

Every week I am going to blog about something or someone. This will be on Wednesday. Every Wednesday check my blog to see who I am blogging about or what I am blogging about. This will be called Something or Someone. I know it is Thursday but, I am going to blog about K-Doodle:

Name: K-Doodle
Age: Just turned 8

K-Doodle is a smart little girl whom I love. I am very thankful for having a little sister. If I didn't have her I wouldn't know what to do. She loves to write, draw and read. She is sometimes a pain, but I put up with. :-) She loves to be with family and friends. She knows a lot. She is my best friend. She likes nature. Likes to go outside, to play pretend and make her sister play with her (that's me!). She is jealous of me for my blog. I have a lot of fun with her. She scares easily. Likes to make new creations. Has a funny laugh. Is very fun to be around. Asks A LOT a questions. Likes to have "stuff". Collects postcards. Is the baby of the family. And I love her to pieces.

My Background Says Something About Me...

My new background is telling you something. All these posts are the things I write. This is like a very big piece of online paper.

I love to read and write. I read stories and get ideas from them and then write my own. I don't like to just make up any story. I have to have something in there is me. Like Lightning, my old post. I made that up because I love horses. Or I make up a story that I wish to happen. I wish the world will come together in Christ and there will be peace in the world. This will probably not ever happen, but it is a dream. Never give up on your dreams!

Hilton Head Island Vacation!

I am a little late on this, I know. And those who know me will have thought I would put this out sooner. We went on vacation last week to Hilton Head Island, SC. It was a really fun time. We invited our friends from IL and they came down and had a great time too. There is too much to say so I am going to do it this way...

What: Hilton Head Island Vacation
When: March 19 - 26 2011
Where: Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
What Did You Do?: Bike ride, go to the beach, swim in the pool, shop for suverniors, drive, go to Church on Sunday, eat Ice Cream, do crafts.
Other information: We had a swell time with our friends. We might have stayed in two separate condos, but that is OK. We went to the beach and saw a starfish, a baby jellyfish, a crab, a dolphin and found loads of shells and even some sand dollars. We had so much fun, but I am so glad to be home.

But, that was my spring break. So while everybody else is having fun, I will be inside doing my schoolwork. : )

Lent Is Ringing!

This is a little late, but Lent started last Wednesday. We did not go to Ash Wednesday mass because mom was sick. That day I had CCD (religion class). And boy what a day that was. We have CCD at 5:30 PM. And since the mass was at 6:30 PM they decided that they would end CCD early.

Mom teaches and she was sick. So my teacher did my class and mom's class. And there was a lot of kids. We also did the second grade Communion packet. I don't know why!

But that's not all. Mom was going to pick us up and I was supposed to go get K-Doodle in her class. But, when I got there they were not there. So I walked out and I told my teacher. Then a lady told me where they were, in the church. Their teacher had taken them there. So I search and I can't find them. Then I have to stay with all the kids who's moms did not know class was over early. And then K-doodle walked out with her best friends Dad! And mom picked us up. She thought that it would end early.

Well, that's the story. Now I will tell you what I am doing for Lent.

I chose to have time with God every day. Here is what I do.

1. I set up my prayer table. I just use a stool and put a cloth and a candle (the battery one).
2. I read my Bible
3. I read my Pony Tale Girls book. This is a book about girls who have a club and there is devotions a Bible story and lots of fun stuff for you to do. I recommend it to other girls.
4. I read other books about the Sacraments and other Catholic and Christian stuff. I also read about two Saints.
5. I pray my Rosary. This is my favorite part. I feel so close to Mary this way.
6. Finally, I pray my prayer cards and then I pray for our missionarie friends and other people and needs in the world.

I thought this would be the best thing for Lent. I am loving this time with God every day. I love to pray the Rosary. I feel like Jesus is sitting next to me, praying with me. It only takes about two hours. But, I am not worried about time.

How I want to.....

be in theater! My friend is in musical theater at a PROFESSIONAL theater. And how I want to be in musical theater. I want to so, so, so, so, SO MUCH. I really want to try out for the Peter Pan show that they are doing, but the auditions are on the day that we are supposed to leave for vacation. I was going to try out for the part of Wendy. That would be a big part, I just realized. Maybe I could try out to be a mermaid or Tiger Lily instead. Wait, I just said I am not going to be there..... then why am I going on?

Underestimated

This post is for all kids who think they aren't noticed.

I have been thinking a lot about this. We all are alike and we all are different and that's what makes us the same. When I say something to my Mom, I usually get turned down or ignored. My ideas are never thought of, unless they are about something that is important. If we all we're grownups I would probably be heard. But I'm not, YET. I want to be heard. I want to have my ideas considered. But I know one thing, God hears me. Everyone can talk to God and he will hear. He might not answer quickly, but he hears.

I just hope somebody will get this post and think about. Kids are people, we're tiny adults. We have minds and we want them to be able to talk to somebody about our ideas. There is another thing. We can use some help. I know you're busy, but take fifteen minutes to help your kids. (Like with there room...) And we like to have alone time with our parents. You know, out shopping or just sitting down and talking.

Oh, and kids should help there parents. I am having a hard time with this. But we should. But, parents need help, too. Right?

Well, I hope this makes you feel like you need to help your kids. It should.

American Heritage Girl Sleepover

I just came back from my AHG sleepover. We had a lot of fun! When we got there, we put our stuff in the room and then we worked on making mirrors. We had paint and we painted picture frames and instead of pictures we put mirrors! Really fun. Then we ate dinner and watch Veggie Tales, Sweet Pea Beauty. I love that movie. My favorite part is when one of the little peas goes, "I can fit and acorn in my bellybutton!" and then an acorn pops out. Ha Ha! I laughed so hard. Then we played games till 12 pm. We had an American Heritage Girls Idol. And we played telephone. Then we got in bed and fell asleep. And when we woke up this morning we had donuts. Yum. Me and my friend were the first ones up and the last ones to go to bed.

If you are in Girl Scouts, then I would switch. AHG is much better. The badges are Christian. They have Bible Basics and Daughter of the King badges. We have fund raisers, too. And more fun things. You should look up it at www.americanheritagegirls.org

You won't regret it!

American Girl Store

An American Girl Birthday for K-Doodle
Today we went to the American Girl store in downtown Atalanta for K-Doodle's birthday. We had been keeping this a secret. When we got there, she was so surprised. We went in and looked around. Mom had got reservations for the Bistro there, so we had lunch. It was a great lunch. You got your choice of your own appetizer and then a meal. I chose chicken noodle soup and the tiny treats, which came with a little hotdog, hamburger, and fruit.
Even though they were tiny, I didn't eat more than two bites. Then we had some dessert. I got the tiny dessert to go with the dinner. K-Doodle got chocolate brownie lollipops. They put a candle in it and sang happy birthday to her. Then her to grandma's, Grangan and Nanny, bought her things. She got a miny doll from my mom, two new outfits for her doll form my Nanny, and a shopping spree at Macy's from my Grangan. The shopping spree included a lot of clothes and accessories.

But it's not her birthday yet! (It's on the 28th)

Altar Server Madness

I have been waiting to be an altar server for so long and today I went to the class to see how it was done. My friend was there and another lady. It might look easy but it is not. First you have to figure out which server you are going to be, the one that carries the cross or not. I will tell you about how to be the one that carries the cross. First you walk down the aisle and get to the right side. You wait till the priest walks onto platform and then you put the cross on its stand. You sit down and then you wait till Communion to do anything else. When Communion comes you ring the bells and at the end you just walk out. But it really is hard and not. What's hard is to remember what to do. But, it's a good way to serve the Lord through Catholic Faith.

My Valentine's Day!

I had a great Valentine's Day. We went to pick up produce with our friends from church then went to Kroger. But, on our way home we got in a car accident. It was one where before you knew it you were feeling the jolt. Mom heard the screech of brakes and then she looked up and saw the car behind us coming towards us. She yelled " Watch Out!" and then a big jolt. Luckily she didn't hit the car in front of us because she stayed back a little. We were stopped when it happened. I thought it was cool! Well, we stopped and pulled into a nursery parking lot. We waited for a state trooper and he finally came. Nobody got hurt. But one important lesson, LOOK WHERE YOU ARE GOING. And I don't mean when you're in the car, I mean everywhere. Walking, riding your bike, etc. Accidents are waiting to happen.

But, we got home and had a party for my Daddy! We made cupcakes and had balloons and roses that he gave us. I painted a picture and gave it to him. I love my daddy. He is the best! Love you Daddy!

I Don't Wanta...

Yesterday Mom and Dad went to the Valentine's Day Dance at our church. We (me and K-Doodle) went to our friend's house. There parents we're going to the dance, too. So they called a babysitter for us. We all were from the same church. So we sat down and made some Valentine's, while my friend, was upstairs playing his, very boring, annoying, loud, gorilla game. He came down when we said there was snacks. Our babysitter said 'A way to a man's heart is through his stomach'. And we soon found out that was true. So the four of us ate some snacks and burned some chocolate that made the kitchen stink. Then we sat down and watched a movie, Starstruck. Really boring. It was like all the other Disney movies that are new. The guy likes her, the girl likes him, they break up and then at the end they get back together and kiss. Then the next one we watched was Cadet Kelly. It is a very cool movie. I didn't get to finish it. My friend fell asleep. I didn't.

Well, today was church day and I didn't want to get up because my parents stayed out to midnight and we were pooped. But I had fun and so did my parents. But, I want to tell you something. Going to Church is really important. I didn't want to go, but then I thought that the Lord wanted me to. So then I really wanted to go. Never miss an opportunity to get closer in your relationship with God.

A Little Bit

A little bit of snow came. It is sort-of in our yard. Not a lot.

Today I have to go to art. I LOVE ART! It is so much fun. I am working on a pet portrait. Lucy (that is our dog's name) is staring at you and turning her head. She is in the backyard on her leash. I really like the picture. If you are wondering what she looks like go to the Pictures and More! section of my blog and scroll down all the way to the end. She is sitting under the Christmas tree trying to hide from the camera. We have had Lucy for about a year and a half now. We got her when she was a puppy, only eight weeks. She was teeny, and still is. She is annoying, feisty, and smart. She loves her ball and bugs you to play with it. I like her though and so does everyone else.

She Is Back!

She is back! Mom is back! She came back a few minutes ago. Wow does time fly. Even though it was only for two day, I still think that flew by! I am so happy that she is back. It didn't feel like home without mom. There is a thing in our wall that my great grandmother made, and it says "WHAT IS HOME WITHOUT A MOTHER". I think that what it says is true. Mother's are important in our lives. The world is made up of mothers. No mothers, no us. We wouldn't be here.

Yesterday we went to a Daddy Daughter Date at Chick-ful-lay. It was not what I expected. I thought we we're going to sit down and they we're going to wait on us. No, that is not what it was. We got there (and Dad kept this a secret, but I knew because I saw the paper. He, He.) and they had a big ribbon over one end of the room. We had a reservation and we signed in. Then they seated us (this was fancy for Chick-ful-lay, a fast food restaurant. The whole thing was fancy.) at a booth. The booth had a white table cloth and some Carnations. They even had conversation starters! Now this was way to fancy for Chick-ful-lay. They gave us one Carnation and a little stuffed cow that said Eat Mor Chiken. Then a waiter came over and took our order. There was also a harp player! That was a surprise. Then after we ate they gave us a little ice cream cup. And in the cup was pink vanilla ice cream. I had a wonderful time and I hope my Dad did, too!

I love you, Daddy!

She Is Gone...

Mom left today on a moms retreat (I don't know why they need one. HA! HA! I'm glad she get's a break. She does a lot for us.) and we're here with our Nanny and G-Dad at our house. They are here because my dad works in the daytime, and they live so close. They live in Atlanta. I am having a great time so far, even though we have only been here for 2 hours. I am really lucky to have such great grandparents. I really love them a lot. I love all my family. And I am glad that mom gets a break. She does so much for all of us. Not only is she a mother and a housekeeper upper, she also is a teacher to us and a literature coordinator at Co-op and in charge of field trips. She is a role model for my life. I love her very much and I hope she knows that.

My !st Basketball Game

Today I went to my first basketball game. It was Georgia Tech ( Go Jackets! ) against some other team. It was really fun. When I grow older I think I will be a cheerleader. But I have to learn to be more flexible. Well, mom caught a T-shirt. We went with my Nanny and G-Dad. They let us come and we got to go upstairs and eat pizza! And muffins! And cookies! We got really could seats and K-doodle was on the screen twice! (once for just the waving and the second for showing your muscles. They also did and limbo bar on the screen and you had to limbo under the virtual bar.) I have no GT wear, so I made my own. I took pipe cleaners and made a bee and strapped it to a yellow headband. I also made one for K-Doodle. She had a lot of fun! Georgia Tech won! Yay, go jackets!

Speak Up!

I went to a Pro-Life walk. It was a lot of fun. First we went to Church where the Arch Bishop does it. There was a lot of people! When I say lots I mean about a hundred and fifty. This was a big Church but a lot of people had to stand up. Then we got back on the bus (the bus our Church rented) to eat our lunch. One of my best friends came alone. His mom and him did it with us. His name is Evan. Well, after we ate our lunch we listen for an hour to people talking. Then we walked for Pro-Life. We walked five blocks! It was a silent walk. It was really cold too! So, so cold. Then we got back on the bus and we went back to our church. Then we drove home, and here we are!

By the way, did you know that at the age of 11-12 weeks, in the womb, a baby is only two inches? Wow! And I thought babies were small when they were born!

Listen to Your Heart

I was thinking about something. A lot of people dream about something and never work toward the goal. Some dreams don't have to be worked toward. But some dreams do. All over the world people dream. Don't let a dream go to waste if you have one. Work and wish toward it and someday it will come true. I want to become a horse back rider, and I have to work toward that. If every person in the world didn't dream and work toward it nothing would be done. Doctors wouldn't become Doctors and the world would get sick. Builders wouldn't become builders and there wouldn't be houses. Look at your house. If builders didn't dream about building it they wouldn't have.

" For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also." Luke 12:34
My favorite verse.

All Better

I am better now. I still have to take the medicine for another 6 days, but it is the good kind. With the flu season I have been getting sick more often. Tips on trying not to get sick: Washing your hands help. And don't be a spreader. Try coughing or sneezing into your elbow, please! Yesterday mom sneezed into her hands and kept typing. Yuck! No wonder how I get sick. It is my parents. Also if somebody is sick in your home try to spray everything they touch. Tips on if you are sick: You know how you have weird taste when you are sick? Well, when I had the flu lemonade was the best. I drank a lot of that.

Sick Again?

Today I found out that I have strep throat. We went to the doctors office and while we were there some of our friends from church came out. They said that they were there because the little girl had strep throat, too. She got it from a cut in her finger. It infected the finger and gave her strep throat. We went to their house on Sunday and the little girl did not know that she had it and she gave it to me. But there is two sides of this. The bad is: I have sore throat. The good: I don't have to do math! Not that bad.

Snow Day!

Today it snowed! Well it didn't snow it was freezing ice. It was the same mostly, except for it was harder, but we had fun. We have a hill to the left side of our house and we took, boxes at first, and slid down the hill! It was so much fun! Then mom brought out our boogie boards (the boards that you use in the water) and we used those instead. They were much faster. So we spent the whole day outside in the yard. We came inside for hot cocoa and soup. I have some great pictures that I will put in the pictures and more section and this post.

Real Food

Today we are going to go to our food co-op. This is where we order food and pick it up once a month. There is a truck that comes and delivers the food, and then we sort it. This isn't regular food though, this is organic food. Food that has no preservatives or hormones and taste a lot better. They have organic candy to organic pop tarts. All the stuff that you buy at the store that has all the yucky stuff in it you can buy organic. I think organic is way better than the regular stuff. But there is a downside. A lot of the stuff is more expensive. Last week we went to Kroger, at night, and we were just going to buy frozen meals. Well, they were having a sale n there organic stuff. So mom went crazy and stocked up on everything. She bought nine cartons of organic butter, chips, granola bars, yogurt, pumpkin pie filling, recycled toilet paper, and a lot more! We have our shelves stocked with food.

The Power of Organic!

The Christian Girls Club

Me and my friends might start a Christian Girls club. I was thinking that we have a vice president and maybe a few more things. If I get the club going, I might start community service. We will learn new things every time we meet. Hopefully it won't be one of those clubs that gets up and running then starts slowing down and stops.
