Lightning

My mom told me to publish one of my writings. As I told you before, I will be publishing some of my poems and writings. This one I call Lightning:

I went into the stable, bored,, and saw a wonderful, but scary, sight. A pretty black stallion, tied up in his stall, was pawing the ground and neighing loudly. he was trying to open the door of his stall. He looked at me and I looked at him. He wanted to run. I opened the door to the stall. He ran out. I named him Lightning.

Christmas

I had an awesome Christmas! We went to my Nanny and G-Dad's house, they live on a lake. They have a big house and we had a lot of people. Here is how many people were there:

Me, K-Doodle, Mom, Dad, my big sister Amber, my 7 cousins, my Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Kevin, Nanny and G-Dad, my cousins Uncle Mark, and my cousins Grandma and Grandpa. That is 19 people. We had a great time. On Christmas Eve night we went to see the giant ginger bread house that they do every year in there neighbor hood. We also went to Church on Christmas Eve. Then after that we went caroling. On Christmas day we opened our stockings. My mom stuffed a lot of stuff in mine. She gave me a finger puppet, candies, lip gloss, hand sanitizer and a note pad. We had to wait till everybody got up and then we eat a fine breakfast of Butter Braids (big pastries) and eat my Dad's famous breakfast casserole. Yummy! Then after that everyone sits down in the living room and we sort out the presents and then we open them! I got a lot of stuff this year that I like. Here is the list of things I got for Christmas: I got two Barnes 'n' Noble gift cards, Just Dance Wii game, a Angel for my Angel collection, clothes, some Rainbow Fairy books, flower earrings, bath things, American Girl book, glitter domes (make your own snowglobes), stilts, a horse necklace, Apples to Apples junior, and a cloak.

For Christmas dinner we just have leftovers form Christmas Eve dinner. Then I go to bed wishing that Christmas was not over yet.

The next day it snowed! It was so pretty! That was the day when we left and went home. When we got home we rushed in to see what Santa had left us. When we got inside on the fireplace was four wrapped presents and sitting on top was the Mario Cart Wii game. Then we opened our stockings and after that the presents. In the presents were Fur Real Friends. We got the whole town and a hamster wheel. We each also got a puppy with a pet carrier. That is the whole Christmas story of this year. I have some people to thank, though.

Thank you Mom and Dad! I love the books, the cloak and the snowglobe kit best! I love you!

Thank you Nanny and G-Dad! I love the stilts and necklace! I am getting really good at the stilts! I love you!

Thank you Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Kevin! I LOVE the earrings! They are so cute! I love you!

Thank you Amber! I am going to bug Dad to put a nail in my wall near my bed for the calendar and I am going to wait and count the days until you come next. I really love the gift card and I am going to spend it on Nancy Drew books or some CDs.

Christmas Shopping Day!

Today we went to Big Lots and Dollar General. We shopped for Christmas gifts. I got three gifts. Can't mention anything, though. All you know is I shopped for Christmas gifts. I know a lot more than that but I can't tell you who their going to and what they are.

Why I Have Not

The reason why I have not been writing was because I had the flu. I was running a fever and now I am at the last few days of just coughing and having a runny nose.

I was thinking that I would publish some of my poems and stories that I have done. This one is called Birds.

Hear their pretty sound,

Freezing Cold

Today I was in the parade. It was really exciting. I was on the float with my choir. We had to sing the whole time. I messed up the first time on my solo. Then the second and third time, because we repeated the songs, I did perfectly. It was freezing cold though. 40 degrees might not seem like a lot to you, but with the wind, it was extra cold. When it ended I could not feel my toes or my feet, they were so numb. We sat on benches. They were like picnic benches. The person in the back, their feet were in the back of you. It was fun though.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I am really behind. OK now, last Thursday I went on a field trip. This couple, when they moved there they discovered that they lived on Indian land. They have a little lake and made paths in their backyard. They also have a pioneer cabin on their land. They have little workshops that they teach. The cabin has a little bed and a table and a stove. It is really cool.

Then the next day I went to a fish hatchery and learned a lot of things. I learned how to be a biologist, sort-of. And today I had to go to choir. It's busy, busy, busy! That's because it is almost time for the Christmas show, and that is really big. There is going to be extra rehearsals, two days a week!

Trot or Treat

OK. I went to my horse show last Saturday. I had a great time. I stayed there from 9am to 6pm. It was really fun. The horse that I was using got nervous (just like me) and kept acting up. But my club leader helped me get the horse back in shape. And I won first place! I got a trophy and a blue ribbon. It was my first time too!

Friends Are Special

Yesterday, I thought my friend was being bossy. I just realized that she was not. She was just being herself. I think friends are very special. God gave us friends so that we could have fun. And he gave us them so we could have a companion. My friend, not the one that I thought was bossy, sent me an email. It said that just one minute of being mad takes away one minute of happiness. That is so right. We never get that one minute of happiness back. It goes away forever. Gone.

Fishing

Today was the fishing tournament. I kept reeling out fish. I caught 9 fish, I think. At the end of the tournament I got a fishing pole and some things for my fishing box. I also got a $20 gift card to Walmart. It was so much fun!

Busy Day

Today I went to my cousins and had a great time! We went to the park and played at their house. Then I had to practice for my showmanship for 4-H. I will be leading a horse around the ring. I will be doing it next Saturday. Wish me luck!

P.S. I will not be riding tomorrow. Instead I will be in a fishing tournament. And the horse practice was at the fairgrounds instead of the lady's house.

Time Flys When Your......

Wow! I was reading a book and I finished it in two hours! I knew I could read a book in a day but not that fast. I read a book from the series of the Babysitters Club. It was #17, Mary Anne's Bad-Luck Mystery. Well,on Friday I have to go to a lady's house. She is teaching me to be in a competition with a horse. Then on Saturday I am going to see Miss Robin (the one that let me ride her horse last Saturday) to ride again. And on the same Friday that I am seeing that lady, Miss Cathy, I am also going to my cousins. Whew! What a bust week!

Ride On!

I have some big news. I just rode a horse! It was my first time. A lady, Miss Robin, taught me how to ride, mount,dismount, and all of the emergency stuff. I also got a head start in one of my badges for American Heritage Girls.

Little Flowers

Tuesday was the first meeting of Little Flowers. Mom is the leader and I am the assistant. I am the oldest and I have to help, too. I am also the games person. Wait, you might not even know what Little Flowers is. Little Flowers is a Catholic girls club. Each month we learn about a different saint. Then we do crafts. We have the meetings at our Church.

Vacation In Florida!

From last Saturday to Friday I was having a wonderful time in Florida. Today we came home. I am going to tell you all about what happened.

Well we got there at eleven o'clock at night. We were using my Nanny's and G-Dad's condo ( thanks you guys we had a lot of fun! ) that was on the sixth floor. The next day we got in the elevator, it went so slow, and finally were on the beach. But there was jellyfish everywhere! It was gross! Then I decided I wanted to go out in the water and I did. I was standing in the water and I feel something slimy hitting my leg. I look down and there was a jellyfish right beside me! Ew, ew, ew, ew! I totally grossed out, all day! Then I went in the pool. I also went to the Lighhouse and the Fort. They were both really cool!

Another thing: I went to two meetings of these places that sell something like timeshare but it's not. And we collected $220 from going to the two and saying no. And we also got a two day vacation. But, $100 we sent on Disney World ( tell you about that in a minute ) and the other $120 on our dog, Lucy. And our goal was to have a cheap vacation. Well we did it!

One more thing: Disney. We had an awesome time. It was my first time there! I got a pin that said 1st Visit and had Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisie, and Goofy. We also did not pay for going to Disney World. We were volunteers so we got tickets for free! I went on Peter Pan, Flying Carpets, Dumbo, Pooh Bear, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, and I saw the monster laugh floor that we all thought was really funny! And I got a hat that has Minnie ears. And I got a Minnie bag too!

I can't believe that I have not updated for a week!

Well today was my third week of choir. I have started dance. I am a Christmas angel dancer. The bigger kids will be singing and me and some other girls will be dancing in the background. I also have a solo in one of the songs. I am really having a lot of fun!

Art

Yesterday I went to Choir. I had so much fun! I now know that I am going to be a Christmas Angel in the Christmas play. I have a solo to do. I am nervous!

I went to my first day of Art Class today. Last year I was in the littler kid class, and now I am in the big kid class! We do sketches and drawings. We will start painting in October. I am excited!

Things to Tell

OK, I have been a little slow lately. I have 3 things to tell you.

1) I went to my friends party and had bunches of fun! I didn't sleepover though. I had to go to my Nanny's the next morning. But I did stay up till midnight. I went swimming and did my act.

2) I went to my Nanny's. And I drove a Jet Ski! It was so much fun! I also played a cool fishing pin ball game.

3) Today I went to Monkey Joes! If you are wondering what Monkey Joes is, then it is a inflatable playground. It has 8 blow ups. I had so much fun! It was a field trip to meet new people that are homeschoolers. When we got there, nobody was there. Then all the homeshcoolers came and filled up the place! That is one of the adavantages of being a homeschooler.

Friday news

Today I am going to go to my friends birthday party. It is a drama-mystery party. I am to play the part of Susan Lunchbox, soap-opera star. Yesterday we went shopping at Good-Will and I got a purple sparkly dress, I am going to where high heels, my pink boa with my parasol and pink gloves. I might sleep-over. That is a maybe. I will give you all the details of the party and how it was later.

A day at homeschool choir

Today was the first day of my homeschool choir. I had a great time. We start the day with warm ups and some scales. Then we start working on some songs. This was just the first day so we talked about the stuff we were going to do. Next week I am going to start drama though. I hope I am good!

I also want to say I am only 11!

Forgot to mention......

I should have mentioned it earlier but I LOVE TO READ! I am reading the series of Nancy Drew books.I read the first six ( Thanks Nanny and G-dad!) and I liked them so much that I am now on number 29. I am on The Clue In the Crumbling Wall. It is getting good. Yesterday I read the whole book of the Happy Holisters. It was 184 pages. I also LOVE horses! They are my favorite animals. I collect postcards and have over 400 of them, thanks to Grangan. Thanks Grangan! And I colllect angels, I have 7 of them.

First AHG Meeting of the year

Today it was the first meeting of the year of American Heritage Girls ( A.K.A AHG ). It was so much fun. Our troop used to be so small, but now it is so big! I have more than ten girls in my group. And K-Doodle has more than seven girls in her group. And if you are wondering, " What in the world is American Heritage Girls?" then you should know that American Heritage Girls is like Girl Scouts but much better. It is more Christian based then Girl Scouts. I love it! There is badges to earn and fun things to do to earn them. There is camping and feild trips. It is just so much fun!

My new blog!

Today I got my blog finally! This is sooooooooooooooooooo exciting! I have been waiting for this for so long! Well I guess now I can start writing.

K-doodle has been calling herself Princess K-doodle since we watch the movie Gigi. She change her favorite color from green and orange to pink and purple. She is driving me nuts! All she does is dress in dresses and shouts orders to me. And she says Dad is a king and Mom is a queen. And guess what I am..... a peasant.
